Manufacturing company is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team.

Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic manufacturing company while utilizing your expertise in financial management and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
    • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  2. General Ledger Management:

    • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
    • Review and reconcile accounts, including bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
    • Monitor and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide timely updates and recommendations to management.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements to enhance profitability.
  4. Financial Compliance and Audit Support:

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
    • Coordinate and assist with external audits, providing documentation and support as needed.
    • Implement best practices to enhance financial processes and internal controls.
  5. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the finance team.
    • Lead by example and promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of driving results.
