Job Description

A Sacramento nonprofit organization is seeking to add a motivated Accounting Clerk to their team. This Accounting Clerk will report to a Senior Accountant and be responsible with but not limited to:

Assisting with Accounts Payable including receiving and sorting invoices, data entry, preparing check runs, etc.
Assisting with Accounts Receivable including posting payments, lock box, preparing bank deposits, billing, etc.
Assisting with Payroll including collecting timekeeping information, calculating commissions, garnishments, direct deposits, etc.
Other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned


The ideal candidate for this Accounting Clerk position will have one year of experience in accounting, a 2 or 4-year degree in a related field, quick and accurate data entry, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Job Requirements

Quick and accurate data entry skills. Basic understanding of accounting principles. Microsoft Excel knowledge. 10 Key by touch.
