Our client in the northwest metro is adding an AP Specialist to their team. The ideal candidate would have full-cycle A/P experience (Vendor Management, 1099's, month-end, reconciliations, journal entries, and ERP knowledge) and work well in a fast faced environment.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all Accounts Payable functions
  • Responsible for providing accurate and timely journal entries including monthly accruals, prepaid expenses, balance sheet reconciliation, P&L inquires research
  • Research and resolve discrepancies and issues
  • Understands and applies generally accepted accounting principles
  • Collaborates with the operations department to ensure data integrity and strong internal controls
  • Creates procedures and document workflow in accordance with audit standards and Sarbanes Oxley
  • Provides documents and responses to external and internal audit requests
  • Participates testing for new system implementation and existing system upgrade
  • Document product and therapy related field reports within the prescribed timelines and provide any necessary documents required to complete the investigation.
  • Provide follow-up reporting as needed.
  • Complete training requirements and competency confirmations as required for this position within the required timeline.
  • Comply with applicable quality system procedures/policies and make suggestions for continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of AP and Vendor Management experience
  • Associates Degree (required); Bachelors Degree (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of full-cycle accounting (reconciliations, journal entries, G/L, etc.)
  • ERP software knowledge required
