Fantastic opportunity for a Accountant role located in North Houston. This is a temp to hire assignment and will be working 100% in office.

Accountant Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with monthly closings by preparing journal entries, analyzing, and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Assisting with Accounts Payable
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries including accruals and re-classes
• Reconcile complex GL, research and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain financial security by following internal control procedures
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Handle other duties/special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 2+ years of GL accounting experience
• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Sage 50 experience preferred but not required
• Intermediate Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups)
