West Valley Controller role - 130-150k plus bonus and EXCELLENT benefits!

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our division within the mid-sized manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in month-end close accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll management. Additionally, the candidate must possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage a small team within the finance department.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the division.
  • Develop and maintain divisional budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collections.
  • Supervise payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accurate disbursement of wages.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on month-end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a small team.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
