**Must live in the Shakopee, MN area to apply! This is an on-site role! Pay: $60k-$70k range, DOE

As a Project Billing Specialist with our ESOP client in Shakopee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for our engineering projects. You will work closely with project managers, accountants, and clients to ensure that billing activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire billing process for assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and generate invoices based on project milestones, contract terms, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to obtain necessary billing information, including project scope, budget, and milestone completion.
• Conduct thorough reviews of project billing data to identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and resolution of payment issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation for audit purposes. Generate and analyze billing reports as needed for management review.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in billing procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual agreements, and company policies related to project billing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project billing, preferably in an engineering or construction environment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to project billing.
• Experience with project management software is a plus.
