Reinsurance Administator/Junior Accountant
Location: Scottsdale, AZ (in-office, Hybrid option after 3 months of employment)
Salary: 50k - 62k
Overview:
Incumbent ensures accurate and timely accounting procedures and reporting for corporate reinsurance accounts and programs. This position performs routine reinsurance administrative duties which would include a range of general support functions for the team while ensuring a high level of service is being delivered to customers.
- Generates monthly reports detailing profitability, underwriting performance and quota sharing implications
- Manages cashflow transactions including profit-sharing account distributions and invoice payments
- Drives communication with our offshore account management partners to include:
- Year-end tax correspondence
- Monthly cession statements
- Quarterly shareholder statements
- Supports statutory reporting, compliance and audit requirements including SOX
- Delivers excellent customer service by interacting with internal and external customers in a professional, courteous, and ethical manner
- Delivering on daily operational standards and adhering to service and quality standards
- Drives execution of reinsurance account formation including the following:
- Reinsurance document preparation and submission to clients and corporate partners
- Ensure reinsurance accounts are set up internally and business is processed correctly
- Report on company formation statuses to department management
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in accounting, finance or business administration or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting support or related experience; Franchise dealership experience a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), Tableau, AWS and other business-related software
- Proven track record of working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and achieving objectives
- Strong customer orientation and the ability to build relationships of trust and mutual respect with internal and external partners
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
