Job Title: Accounting/Reconciliations Specialist

Employment Type: Temporary, potentially to hire (Open ended contract with a good chance of conversion)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Work Environment:Mostly in-office with 1 WFH day.

Collaborative team environment in an open floor setting where employees enjoy assisting each other. Dogs are allowed in the office.

Salary:$55,000 - $65,000 DOE

Job Description:

The Accounting/Reconciliations Specialist is a vital member of our team, responsible for hands-on accounting tasks focused on cash management and bank reconciliations. Working predominantly in-office, this role involves matching transactions from bank statements to financial records and reconciling discrepancies. Our proprietary systems will be provided, and training will be given to ensure proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform cash management tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries.

- Match bank transactions to financial statements and reconcile discrepancies.

- Work within our proprietary systems to maintain accurate records.

- Liaise with clients to resolve accounting issues and provide explanations as needed.

- Collaborate closely with the accounting team, client advisors and customers directly

Requirements:

- Flexible regarding degree/AAS qualifications, prioritizing relevant accounting experience.

- Demonstrated proficiency in bank reconciliations and journal entry booking.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for resolving financial discrepancies.

- Comfortable with client-facing responsibilities.

- Reliable, team-oriented, and possesses a positive personality conducive to a collaborative work environment.
